Clwyd Badger Group was pleased to welcome a representative from North Wales Police’s Rural Crime Team to one of our meetings for a presentation on badger persecution across North Wales.

The presentation provided an opportunity to learn more about the challenges involved in investigating wildlife crime, the work being undertaken by the Rural Crime Team, and the importance of reporting suspected offences. Badger persecution remains a serious concern, and tackling it relies on effective collaboration between the police, wildlife organisations, landowners and members of the public.

As a group working to protect badgers and their habitats across North Wales, we greatly value our relationship with North Wales Police and the opportunity to share knowledge and experience. Working together is essential to helping identify, investigate and prevent wildlife crime.

A big thank you to North Wales Police’s Rural Crime Team for taking the time to speak to our members and for their continued work to protect wildlife across North Wales.
