We’re delighted to have attended the Clwyd Badger Group’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, in a year when Badger Trust is also marking its own 40th milestone. It was a fantastic event, with Rosie (Chair), Nigel (CEO), and Sally (Groups Manager) all sharing reflections, alongside hearing the group’s formation and their long-standing dedication to protecting badgers locally.
The coming together of like-minded people four decades ago is truly inspiring. What began as a local effort has helped build a legacy that continues to protect badgers today, and will support future generations to carry this vital work forward. Local badger groups remain at the heart of badger conservation, with volunteers across England and Wales working tirelessly in collaboration with Badger Trust to protect badgers, their setts and habitats.
